How does selling on handicraft work?

Selling on handicraft is easy. First you list the products that you want to sell on handicraft marketplace. Customer sees your product and makes a purchase. You will receive a notification to ship the product. You deliver the product to the customer and confirm shipment. handicraft will deposit the funds into your bank account after deducting our Commissions.

What products can I sell on handicraft?

You can sell items as per below categories:
Apparel, Automotive, Baby Products, Batteries, Books, Consumables, Digital Accessories (including Mobile Accessories, Electronics Accessories and PC Accessories), Home, Jewelry, Kitchen, Luggage, Movies, Music, Musical Instruments, Office and Stationary, Personal Care Appliances, Pet Supplies, Software, Shoes and Handbags, Tablets, Toys, Video games (consoles and games) and Watches.
Please note that certain categories are restricted and require prior approval before you can start selling. Do refer to our prohibited items list if you have any questions with regards to prohibited products.

What do I need to register as a seller on handicraft?

Please click REGISTER (above right), to register a Seller account for you to start selling on handicraft. You will need the following information to register

Your company details
Your contact details - email and phone number
Basic information about your business

Is there any requirement for my own website for sell on handicraft?

You don't need a website to start selling on handicraft marketplace. Once you complete registration, you will have access to our Seller account which you can use to list your products for sale on www.handicraft.com

If I sell my products on handicraft, will the customer know that he or she is purchasing from me via handicraft marketplace?

Yes. We will clearly indicate on our product detail pages that includes your brand name and your store name. The page will also state all the products that you have uploaded for selling on handicraft.com. Also, during shipping, the product invoice will carry your brand/store name.

Fees and Charges

What are the charges for selling on handicraft?

We charge you when you get an order. Listing on handicraft is free. Refer to our Commissions Schedule for more details.

How and when do I get paid?

handicraft will disburse payments to your bank account on a bi-weekly basis.

Can I cancel my Account?

Yes. You can cancel and withdraw from handicraft at any time, as long as you have fulfilled all payments and any pending matters with us.

Managing your Account

How do I list my products on handicraft?

You as a Seller will be able to list your own products in your own time by logging in to your Seller page and uploading your products from there. It is really easy and if you face any difficulties, you will always have support by our Seller Support Team.

How do I manage my orders on handicraft?

You can manage your orders in through your ‘Manage Order’ tab in your Seller Page as well after you complete your registration. You will receive a notification when a buyer has made a purchase and you need to pack your product using handicraft packing material. From then on, every activity will be tracked and managed in your Seller page till the delivery of your product.

Do you offer protection against fraud?

Yes. handicraft helps you protect against fraudulent orders placed on your products and payment fraud.

Can customers post comments or review on product and Seller?

Yes. Customer is encouraged to review all purchases made. It’s the best way for customers to identify you as a trustworthy seller. We have observed that customers are more likely to purchase products from sellers with higher ratings. The reviews help to increase sales for you as the Seller, so be sure to put in extra effort for customer satisfaction. Your feedback rating is a key point to measure your performance.

Can I talk to someone about selling on handicraft?

You can contact our Seller Support Team and register yourself with their guidance and then you can start selling.

Do I need a GST (Goods and Service Tax) number to sell on handicraft?

No, with handicraft a GST account is not mandatory. Our sellers are divided into 3 categories. Individual, Business and Company. Your documentation for registration is dependent of the category that you fall into.

How should I select product listings to advertise?

Select the products that you want to promote on handicraft. These can be products with a special offer or products that you want to display when Buyers search for a particular keyword.
